OVP Supports One China Policy

The National Directorate of Organization for the Victory of the People (OVP) strongly endorses the statement of the Chinese Foreign Minister, Comrade Wang Yi, rejecting the absurd idea of an independent Taiwan and US imperialist meddling in Chinese affairs. As Comrade Yi said, “Taiwan has never been a country, it was not in the past, and it will not be in the future, Taiwan’s independence has not been possible.”

For us, in OVP, Taiwan is, and always has been an integral part of China, therefore, we will always support the One China Policy. From an historical and moral perspective, the US has no right to meddle in the national affairs of China, and its renegade province, Taiwan. China has never invaded, annexed, or occupied other countries, unlike the US whose entire history is built on colonial genocide, invasion and destabilization of other countries.

At this crucial historical juncture, as a multi-polar world emerges, we stand with the aims and objectives outlined by the People’s Republic of China for a new world order where every nation can prosper. We fully endorse President Xi’s statement, in a speech delivered at the United Nations to mark the 50-year anniversary of the People’s Republic of China’s membership of the UN, that China is committed to “a world order defined by the pursuit of peace, democracy and human rights, as well as the rejection of unilateralism, foreign interference and power politics”.

We further endorse China’s Global Civilization Initiative (GCI) as a way of formalising these principles by encouraging countries to “fully harness the relevance of their histories and cultures” and “appreciate the perceptions and values of different civilizations and refrain from imposing their own values or models on others”.

Long live the People’s Republic of China.
